Can anyone advise where to get Burgundy En Primeur in France. I used to use the big boys in London but now getting shipped is impossible in a post Brexit world (any tips on how to ship 40 cases of French Wine to France anyone?). I have found Bordeaux but I have only found limited en primeur Burgundy. Some of the domaines do it directly, but to get small amounts of a wide variety is fairy impossible. Jancis and the Purple Pagers please help…
Mark Haisma, who will happily produce mixed cases.
Mark Haisma is a great idea.
Otherwise, for the big names, I fear you need a track record which is how the UK merchants get their hands on so much of the wine.
Let me ask Matthew in Dijon…
As I understand it (and see it!), en primeur is not that much of a thing in France. Big traders and brokers will offer Bordeaux, and Chapoutier is offered en primeur to and presumably via, the trade. The only Burgundy I can remember offered en primeur has been Faiveley, but again, I have only seen this offered to the trade. I do not know if it is extended to private buyers (may be send them an email via their website? That is what the contact details are for, after all.)
With regards to Burgundy domains (and especially those in demand), their wines are just as heavily allocated here, or reserved well in advance by regular clients, as they are elsewhere. If you have a personal address in France you might be able to get on as a private buyer… the best bet is to give them a call or write them a letter - the worst they can say is (probably) no they have nothng to sell.
It occurs to me that if you have pre-existing allocations in te UK, you should keep them. Unless it’s palette loads, an occasional UK foray might be a worthwhile logistical imposition…
As to shipping 40 cases to France, I shipped a private cellar to France eigteen months using Wineflow. They were quick, efficient, and frankly quite cheap!
Obviously, post-Brexit, there may be tax consequences, but in theory I would think if it were Duty Paid and from a private cellar, at worst you might have to pay French Duty (centimes rather than euros per bottle) but that is NOT contractual! I am sure Wine Flow could better advise you on that.

Thanks.
I found some on Millesima but only big houses.
No one is shipping post Brexit, BBR and Private Reserves both won’t go near it. Having to sell stocks and buy new stuff here.
