Hello
As an enthusiastic (but relatively recently onboarded) subscriber to JR.com and reader of these purple pages, I have been enviously reading various reviews of the JR.com tasting events (many found here tasting events - Page 1 of 3 | Jancis Robinson) that seemed to have occurred relatively frequently prior to COVID-19.
I wonder if there are any plans from the JR.com team to restart these in some capacity or another now that life has returned to some semblance of normality?
Thanks
Jerry

Good shout! I’m sure they were a real headache to organise but they were so much fun!
We used to run them at cost and give the surplus to a charity nominated by the wine region/cluntry in question. Not sure whether our new US owners, or the team at Caravan, will be so minded. Will enquire but I fear ticket prices are likely to be higher than they were.

The Valtellina event was so eye-opening, and the wine and food so delicious… would be great to do more events like that.

Agreed with Nick, Valtellina was so eye opening
Was thinking about this and saw the last expression of interest was in January. But I for one would still be interested.

I’m glad our tastings were so vauable and appreciated.
Alas I think we would no longer be able to use the same space, which we were given at a ridiculously generous rate. And I’m pretty sure that our new owners would not be willing, as I was, to give the surplus to charity - so the whole financial set-up, by which I mean ticket prices(!), would be very different.
