At short notice an opportunity has arisen to taste with some of the pioneers of new-wave South Africa in central London on Friday 26 September.
Adi Badenhorst, Duncan Savage and Pieter Walser of Blank Bottle will be pouring their wines, along with new star and protegé of Duncan Savage, Banele Vakele with his Tembela wines. This is an informal walk-round tasting. A glass of Caperitif on ice, or with tonic, Adi’s Chenin Blanc-based vermouth made with botanicals from the Paardeberg mountain will be offered prior to departure. Arrive any time from 6pm, but last tasting will be at 8pm. Swig founder Robin Davis will be there to welcome you.
