Walter's Marsala article

Loved Walter’s two-part Marsala article and now I’m keen to sample some of these wines. Does anybody have insight to where I may be able so source a selection in the UK?

The UK team is currently completely drowning in Burgundy but we’ll drop some sources in here as soon as they come up for air!

There are worse ways to go…

Thanks!

Hi @josh.voulters . I’m not going to be much help, but Christopher Keiller https://finewineservices.co.uk/ has two different Marco de Bartoli Marsalas and The Wine Society sells a Marsala, although not one mentioned by Walter - Curatolo Arini Marsala Superiore Riserva 10 Year Old . The Cotswold Port Co also sells a couple of Marsalas - Marsala Wine Collection | Buy Italian Fortified Wines Online UK - Cotswold Port Co .

Thanks Tamlyn

We have had Madeira and Marsala already in 2026. Are we going to keep up the pace with more unfashionable wine (sweet and/or oxidative) articles :grinning_face:?

Hi Josh

Caves de Pyrene, which also sells to private has pretty much the entire De Bartoli range;

Tutto Wines, in London stocks Nino Barraco;

Hedley Wright stocks (for as far as I can see) Francesco Intorcia’s 1980 Marsala Vergine, but I cannot find any supplier for his Pre-British. Will check with Francesco if I can get hold of him;

Terra Amarae is stocked by Robert Rolls in London;

Badalucco’s wines are not in the UK it seems;

Tannico stocks some of the Viteadovest dry wines, but not the esoteric stuff which is produced in minute quantities.

Hope this helps and thank you for your kind words!
